How I draw my artwork
This animation is an example of how I create my drawings. I start with a photo I've taken as a reference for the drawing. I use Procreate as my digital drawing tool as it has both the flexibility to best mimic real drawing tools while allowing for the easier addition of digital media. All is drawn with an Apple Pencil on an iPad Pro.
I immerse myself deeply in interpreting images, finding joy in translating their visual essence into new mediums. My work draws inspiration from photorealist masters Richard Estes, Chuck Close, and Robert Bechtle, renowned for their meticulous, photo-based techniques that show hyperrealistic detail in painting and printmaking.
