The 'Drawn' Series:

Where Photography Meets Illustration

The 'Drawn' series represents the evolution of a moment in time. Using my photography as a foundational blueprint, I use drawing and painting to reimagine the world. These mixed-media works push to 'illuminate' memory, taking a single image into a visual story that blends the realism of the lens with the expression of the hand.

My Creative Process: Digital Mixed Media

Every piece begins with an original photograph as a reference. I use Procreate as my primary digital tool; it provides the flexibility to mimic traditional drawing techniques while offering the potential of digital media. Each stroke is made using an Apple Pencil on an iPad Pro.

I love translating their visual essence into a new, tactile medium. I’m using AI to "stretch" time, forcing the viewer to slow down and really look at the subjects. In the context of my work, it stands as a bridge between traditional imagery and modern digital media.

Influences & Artistic Vision

My work is heavily inspired by the Photorealist masters—specifically Richard Estes,Chuck Close, and Robert Bechtle. I’m drawn to their meticulous, photo-based techniques and their ability to capture hyperrealistic detail through the patient application of paint and printmaking. Through this series, I aim to continue that tradition of precision while adding a modern, digital perspective.
